About The Area
Whiting Bay is a village located on the Isle of Arran in the Firth of Clyde, Scotland four miles south of Lamlash and eight miles south of Brodick. It is the Arran's third largest settlement behind Lamlash and Brodick. It is called after the bay near the southern end of Arran's east coast that the settlement sits on.
Beaches
Explore the amazing beaches of Arran. Whiting Bay has a lovely shallow beach perfect for the kids. Or if you prefer a beach not on the coast, try Coire-Fhionn Lochan.
Golf
There are seven courses to play on Arran - three 18-hole courses (Brodick, Lamlash & Whiting Bay), two 9-hole courses (Machrie Bay and Corrie), one 11-hole par 3 (Lochranza) and the famous 12-holes at Shiskine Golf & Tennis Club.
Walking
Arran has walks for everyone. Whether it is mountains, beaches, moors or forests, there are walks for all abilities. For the more adventurous there is the Arran Costal Way - 65 miles around the Island.
Things To Do
Glenashdale Falls
This stunning waterfall at the Glenashdale Burn is also known by its gaelic name, Eas a’ Chrannaig. It can be accessed by following the signposted trail for around 4km upwards. This trail eventually reaches a great viewing platform giving stunning views. There are various parking spots around the beach front at Whiting Bay that are a short distance from the start of the trail.
Also accessible on this walk are the Giants Graves - the remains of two Neolithic chambered tombs surrounded by tall trees.

Goat Fell
